Shadrick is a proud graduate of Texas State University, where he played college football and earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Physical Education & Exercise Science with a minor in Health and Wellness Promotion.
During college, he became the top intern at a nationally renowned performance clinic, training athletes from children to Olympians and elite professionals. After graduate school, Shadrick stepped into ministry as a Campus Ministry Directorin San Marcos, Texas—the same campus where he first came to know Jesus. He also served as the Team Chaplain for Texas State Football during that season.
Shadrick later moved to Austin, TX, where he served for three years as a Campus Ministry Pastor and Church Planting Intern. To this day, he continues to stay involved in sports chaplaincy and campus ministry across multiple universities in the greater Austin area.
Alongside his ministry, Shadrick remains engaged in business and educational advancement within the sports world. He has a great love for sports, health, travel, good food, plenty of laughs, and even a little friendly trash talk.
More than all of that, Shadrick is most proud to be husband to his wife Caresse, and together they lead Family Life Churches and Missions.

Caresse first served as a Campus Missionary at Texas State University in San Marcos, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She grew up in Germany while her father served in the Army and both parents pastored there. Later, her family moved to San Antonio, TX, where her parents now serve as Lead Pastors.
In 2017, Caresse moved to Austin after getting engaged and marrying her husband, Shadrick Bell, whom she met during her time at Texas State while he was serving as a Campus Missionary. She later served as a missionary on the campus of Huston-Tillotson University, a Historically Black College and University in East Austin.
Caresse is passionate about reaching the next generation with the Gospel and building deep, authentic relationships with those she encounters. Following her years in campus ministry, she earned her Master’s degree at St. Edward’s University and became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2024. She currently serves as a 2nd Grade Learning Specialist at an urban missional Christian school that welcomes children from all backgrounds in Austin.
At FamLife, Caresse leads the Music Team and serves as Co-Founder alongside Shadrick. When she’s not leading worship, teaching, or counseling, she loves cozying up with a blanket, binge-watching shows, enjoying movies, and exploring new foods—especially pasta with extra cheese!
